Tonight was the wards Christmas party, and my kids were part of the program. It actually was one of the better ones I have been too. We started at 7p.m; and did not have the typical dinner and Santa. They then gave you about 20 minutes to eat your desserts and Hot Cocoa. Then they had a program about the Savior's birth. They had the three wise men (the Bishopric) narrate through song and change of scenery/characters. The Primary was split up into groups by grade. So each class was designated an animal or an angel/Shepard. It went pretty quickly, and included the audience in some of the songs. It was such a cute idea, and definitely brought home the message. The last act was the YW and YM singing/acting out the 12 days of Christmas. It was only about an hour and a half, which was perfect for the little ones, and just enough time to visit with your family/friends you do not normally get to see. All in all I have to say...Great job Leavenworth 1st Ward!
Avery and Audrey were sheep, and Josh was a shepard.
Josh always has to make a silly face, but this picture is for Lesa and Jim...do you see his front tooth?
Private, for real this time. =/
