Memorial Day

This weekend was full of  adventure and sadness.  As I reflected on my Dad (his birthday was the 26th).  I decided to do some things that he would of enjoyed if he was still with us.  He was a HUGE movie buff, so David and I went and saw Battleship.  On Saturday we cleaned and watched some more movies at home; and Monday we went and picked up our trampoline (that our insurance so graciously re-payed us for), and set it up, plus went swimming at the pool here on post.  Overall it was a good weekend, and even though we had to change our plans, we are glad it was spent with family.  Happy Memorial Day everyone:)

Soccer in Kansas

It is soccer season for the Sobek crew! They have soccer season here in Kansas during the Spring unlike the Fall in Hawaii, so my kids were excited to already start playing again. Although their team names are "unique" to say the least, their teams as a whole are pretty hard to miss, they really have some good players on both teams.! Hailey's team (The Flaming Leprechauns...ummm yeah) are 2 and 3. Josh's team (The Fire Flames..notice there is no orange in their uniforms) is undefeated as of yet. It is exciting to see how much they have improved and developed new and existing skills throughout their seasons.
