Easter Mourn..

Last Easter, we had an immediate/unexpected change of plans with my Dad's passing. It has been hard this last year without him. Hearing his voice, listening to his comments, jokes, etc. But most of all just knowing that he was there when I needed him. I guess the comfort of my Dad is what I miss the most. So, this year on Easter, I will be thinking about you Dad, and remembering only the good things. I guess that is what everyone remembers with Jesus Christ and what he has done for us. In a way Dad, you will be honored just like the Savior on this special day. I love you, and will forever miss you...

Fun Run Friday

Friday was Hale Kula's Fun Run, and it was a success! Possibly because it rained throughout most of it, possibly because it ran so smoothly, or possibly because everyone was having a great time. At any rate, Hailey and Josh were very excited to run their little hearts out:) Plus, I got to run with each of them, so that was an added bonus for sure! Here are some pictures from the big race!!

The Little Things

This past week has been especially hard for me, and well I didn't know if I could get through it but miraculously it all worked out. Monday was the year mark for my Dad's passing, and Wednesday was some not so great news at the Doctor's, plus some added stress onto David and his job, plus Sunday was Ward Conference and the Stake Presidency was coming to "observe"; add that to the normal everyday hustle and bustle of life with four kids, and well....it can go downhill pretty fast. Magically however David and I still found time to go out on a date and it was just what the doctor ordered. It was just one of those times where everything seemed to happen at just the precise time it was suppose to. It took me back to when we were dating and I couldn't get enough of seeing him and spending time with him. It really was wonderful. It gave me that extra boost to make it through what should be a much better week. It truly is the little things in life sometimes that make all the difference.

BBall Season

Josh's Basketball season is officially over, and his team the "Bear Cats", actually went out with a 6-2 final count of wins and losses. They had their end of the season party, and Josh seriously got the coolest trophy I have ever seen! We asked him if he would play again, and he said he would have to "think on it, I am too excited about swimming with the sharks." I am taking that as he is excited for swim lessons, which start on Tuesday. (no sharks are involved I promise). Here are some pictures from his party...
