Surfer Dude

Josh passed swim lessons today and they got to do a whole bunch of fun activities...he got to jump off the diving board, surf on a surfboard, and go down the waterslide...as many of you know Josh LOVES the water so you can only imagine how excited he was to go on everything. I was especially impressed by the way he hung onto the surfboard..his teacher said he was a natural! I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing,(just another way to make mommy really nervous) but I got some really good pictures so enjoy, and hope everyone is having a great summer =)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Can you believe it has been 7 years? I sure can't, but since it is our Anniversary tomorrow I thought it would be kind of fun to re-cap the last seven years.. so here it goes.
David and I have gone through 7 cars; we have had 6 animals; we have gained 5+ty pounds between us since we have been married, we have had 4 surgeries in just our family (Hailey's nose, Josh's teeth, David's tummy, and my leg); we have had 3 children together; 2 life-changing visits to the E.R. (my mis-carriage, and my car accident) and to end on a good note 1 adoption =)
Babe, I can't imagine what the next 7, 20, or even 50 years good bring us but as long as I am with you we can get through anything together..I love you =-)

The "Lull" of Summer

So I have been wondering why this summer is going by soooo slowly, and why this hasn't happened before, and then I realized it is because we have always gone to my mom's or David's parents house. So, instead of wallowing in self pity, I spent my summer's allotment on fun activities for the kiddos. I bought this inflatable water slide thing, and the kids seem to really enjoy it. Between Josh's swim lessons, the library summer reading program, Hailey in summer school and the kids starting soccer season at the end of this month, it should (and hopefully will) go by pretty quickly!
Here are some pictures of this "exciting" new slide I got. You'll see Avery in a diaper that seriously could use a changing (I'll give you one guess who was in charge), and Audrey gripping the end of the slide because she is scared (I scooped her right up after that picture). You'll also see Josh getting ready to do his next big move! Enjoy your summer!

Thank You Grandma !!

When the grandparents came in January, they brought this cool water sprinkler thing. I finally dug it out today, and as you can see the kids had a blast!!
Thanks again =)

My BIG Graduate...

O.K. so I have been asking for this day to come for a long time...now that it is actually here, I am kind of sad! I have wanted Josh to just grow-up, grow-up, grow-up..but now when I am in the moment, my feelings have changed! They handed me all kinds of letters, and arts and crafts he has worked on throughout the school year; plus they got them a little bag full of things they will need for Kindergarten. A ruler, pencil box, pencils, erasers, markers, crayons, book, etc. It was so thoughtful and nice..but I honestly wasn't expecting it, so it brought tears to my eyes! Josh of course is beyond excited to go to school with "Hailey and the other big kids." Anyway, I am going to miss him sucking his little thumb when he is tired, and cuddling with me, and giving me kisses on demand, etc. I know it just won't end overnight..but slowly and surely my only little guy is growing up =(

This is a picture of his teachers "Miss Crystal and Miss Debbie" and his little friend Tristen he made at school....
