Too Much on My Plate

I have so much to say, and no idea where to start! So here it goes... Monday: Hearing test for Avery= unexpectedly needs surgery on Sept. 21st. adenoids and tonsils+ Plus Jim (father in law) had total hip replacement surgery. Tuesday: Avery has a speech apt. and is ok except failed the language part (she is testing at a 2-21/2 year old instead of a 3 yr. old). Wednesday: Primary Presidency meeting at my house+ soccer. Thursday: meeting at school. Friday: Back to Tripler for Audrey to do hearing and speech. Are we to the weekend yet? AND can you believe that the week of the 13th is even busier?????
****On a good note, besides trying to keep the schedules straight my cousin Georgiane is coming out to help for 10 days. I am so excited/relieved/excited/thrilled for the extra pair of hands and just someone else to talk to!! Daivd's schedule is so compacted it is like he isn't even home! AHHHHHHHH. I seriously am surprised I have not had a nervous breakdown yet!****
I just have to remember that all things happen for a reason...just keep my family in your prayers!! I really think I have reached my limit of trials for the year!!!

My BIG Girl...

Audrey looks so grown up. I cannot believe how much of a difference pigtails make. She looks like she grew up over night..going from 3 to 5! She is speaking so well and very articulate with what she wants! She loves PINK, PINK, and did I mention PINK? She is a very smart girl, but lacks the social interaction. That is where Avery comes into play, although she is a little slower than Audrey, she is very friendly. Loves to play and laugh with others. Avery has to see a speech therapist and have her hearing checked while Audrey is seeing someone for her inability to interact with others. Hopefully all will go well. In other news, Josh has been housebound due to Impetigo. It is a superficial staff infection on his face. Thank goodness we caught it in time, but meanwhile it is driving Mommy crazy having him in the house 24-7. Luckily, he will be able to go back to school on Monday.
Maybe one day I will look back and laugh/be proud of what I have accomplished during my kids' growing up phases. Right now though it is more along the lines of Please stop! I cannot possibly take on anything else! I must have been superwoman in my previous life..what do you think ladies? All in all just another beautiful day in the Sobek neighborhood!

First Day of School

Josh started Kindergarten again this year, and Hailey started 5th grade. Since they didn't start on the same day, Hailey's picture is technically from Josh's first day, so just improvise with me on this one=-) Hailey is excited, she got a good teacher, so I am happy. Josh got someone I am not quite sure about, but we will see how he does. On his first day, he was hesitant as we were walking to school. He kept saying, "Mom, I am not too sure this is a good idea Mom, I am just not sure." It was really cute! He was SLOWLY walking into class, and kept looking over his shoulder to make sure I was still there! Thankfully his day went fantastic, so hopefully this is a sign of what is yet to come. I am glad that Hailey and Josh are in the same school together, but this will be the last year unfortunately...scary thought!! Makes me feel so old! I hope everyone's first day goes well!!

Two Little Peas Turn 3!!!

Today my little princesses turn 3. I am loving that they are getting older, but not liking the idea of not being able to cuddle them or rock them to sleep anymore! This year was especially fun because their little personalities started to show, and I had a much better idea of what to buy them. Audrey loves anything "pretty princess" and PINK; while Avery kind of goes with the flow, but enjoys doing things with her hands for sure. Yesterday my neighbor and I took our kids to the splash park. We have never gone before, and it is pretty nice to say the least! It has a playground, plus this splash park area, plus a linae area where you can set up tables, and have a picnic. The best part of course is it is free!! So we made an afternoon of it. Unfortunately Hailey couldn't join us because school started already for her, but we will definitely be doing it again. For their b-day we let them open their presents (it was like Christmas over here) and we had to head out early for some soccer game excitement! They came home and played with everything, while Daddy had the duty of putting everything together. (He was mumbling towards the end there). All in all the day was of great pleasure to all who attended our chaotic household of events!
