THE Wedding Event of the Year...

My brother finally got married to a wonderful girl on Sunday, September 27th, 2009 in a little town called Plymouth, NH. It was beautiful! My cousins, my dad, mom, David and I were there to represent..it really was full of memories! David and I flew in on Tuesday, my mom flew in the next day, then my cousins the next, followed by my Dad and some more family on Friday. In between all the trips to the airport, we managed to squeeze in some adventures throughout Boston. It was so much fun! They got married in a greenhouse, where they folded 2,000 origami birds as a form of good luck for the bride and groom. Out of the 6 days we were there, it of course rained only on their wedding day! Despite that, we still had a great time. During the reception, which was in this beautiful log cabinish type resort, amongst all this beautiful foliage of the season; they played "YMCA" a classic of the Hudson family, and my mom got everyone out there dancing like we have never done before! We definitely made new traditions there as well I would like to think. Here are some pictures of the fam, and the newest member Jessica! Congrats to the newest Hudson family=-) Now, as the grandparents put it...don't make us wait too long for grand kids!

These first two are from the rehearsal dinner...

These are pictures of where the reception was..the place reminded me of Lake Tahoe..so pretty!
These are from the reception..I played with the coloring on some of them, and now I can't get it to go back =-(

I thankfully took over 400 pictures..so I will definitely be going through them and hopefully adding to my scrapbooking collection!

Families Are Forever

David and I went to Boston for my brother's wedding and to see my family which was LONG overdue. My cousins' and I haven't seen each other for a couple of years at least, and my dad I haven't seen since Christmas of 05'. Everyday we did something fun!! We crammed in as much as we could, but I still felt like I blinked and the vacation was over! We went to downtown Boston a couple of different times, did the freedom trail, North end, Fanueil Hall, Boston Commons, plus drove to New Hampshire for the wedding (new post to come..), the visit was bittersweet for me because I really missed my pumpkins, but had such a blast with all of my family. David and I will definitely make a trip back!

This is my new sister-in-law Jessica!! Welcome to the family...

I am really looking forward to seeing my dad, who I haven't seen since Christmas of 05'! It will go way to fast, and it is never enough time, but I'm sure it will be memorable and unforgettable! I will have lots of pictures to post, but until then, have a great couple of weeks everybody!!

A Toad, A Centipede, and Sanity???

David was in charge of the kids one day last week..(O.K. actually a couple of days) and he had put off mowing the yard, so he decided to surprise me and do it! But he is the one who ended up getting the surprise...first he moved that inflatable slide we bought and took down last month, and this is what he found in it!

He picked it up (YUCK) and chucked it over the fence! Have you ever seen anything so big and gross!!!
On top of that, David (or one of the twins) almost stepped in this....
I know it is kind of hard to see, he marked the start of it with a piece of white chalk. They say that these disgusting creatures are poisonous...hence why you are not supposed to walk outside barefoot. Hopefully now David and the kiddos will be more careful, I know I will. (YUCK!)
So here is a BIG FAT Thank you to my wonderful Hubby, because honestly babe, I would of given up after the toad incident, but you still managed to mow the yard even after all the "chaos" so thanks sweetie!!
Oh what fun and exciting things we have to look forward here in beautiful Hawaii!!!( ha, ha, ha)

Cleaning My Stress Away...

So I have put off organizing my bedroom closet, the garage, and the armoir. I just keep throwing things in these areas thinking "out of sight out of mind". Well, it has bothered me enough, (only because I couldn't find my Halloween decor) that yesterday, I couldn't take it anymore, so Hailey and I started with what I thought would be a fairly quick process. It lead however to me cleaning more and more; so tomorrow I will be up finishing what I started. Here are some pic.'s of a glimpse of what my procrastination looked like (before and after). I am proud to say the garage, flower bed, and this atrocious tree stump thing in the front yard is taken care of, now onto my closet and armoir! I can't believe how long it takes to do just a couple of things...
The two boxes on the right are what David still has to go through, but at least I can honestly say, I know exactly what I have! I am proud to say I now can use the garage for its purpose...and that is to keep a car in, Whaaooooh=-)

Why Me part 2

So after that whole debacle..the girls' dresser was underneath these shelves David had installed on the wall. (Hence that is how they got into the desitin..) Well, yesterday they decided to climb on top of it and it fell over!! Luckily no one got hurt, but now the dresser is in Josh's closet...my girls are never going to "outsmart" their parents, no matter how hard they try =-)
